Meeting strangers should feel exciting, not risky. Here's how we protect you — and the rules that keep Waevo a good place to be.
Adults only, enforced
Waevo is strictly 18+. Age is checked at sign-up, and a minor can never be matched with an adult — it's built into the matching engine, not just a promise.
On-device nudity screening
Every call is scanned for explicit content in real time, on your phone. Nudity is covered automatically — and your camera stream is never sent anywhere to check it.
Report & block in one tap
Something off? One tap ends the call, blocks the person, and flags them. You'll never be matched with a blocked person again.
Real consequences
Ratings and a hidden reputation score keep good actors visible and push bad ones out. Repeat violations lead to escalating bans.
Community guidelines
Using Waevo means agreeing to keep it safe for everyone. Don't:
- No nudity or sexual content. Keep it clothed and non-sexual on camera and in chat.
- Protect minors. Anyone under 18 is not allowed. Never engage with, groom, or endanger a minor — we report where required.
- No harassment or hate. No threats, bullying, or hateful conduct toward anyone.
- No violence or self-harm content.
- No scams or spam. Don't solicit, advertise, or run schemes.
- Be real. No impersonation or fake profiles.
- Respect privacy. Don't record, screenshot, or share others without their consent.
How to report
During any call, tap Report, pick a reason, and confirm. That immediately ends the call, blocks the person, and sends the report to our moderation system. You can also block people from your DMs at any time.
Staying safe when you meet people
- Never share personal information — full name, address, financial details, or passwords.
- Be cautious of anyone who quickly asks for money, moves you to another app, or pressures you.
- Trust your instincts. If a conversation feels wrong, skip or report — no explanation needed.
